Hi my bmw 318i e46 m43 engen has problem two weeks back it was cutting, I then replaced crank sensor just yesterday it started again I then took back the old crank sensor then I drove it about a kilometer then it started again showing the yellow triangle light.please help. I have a 1998 M3 that is throwing the P0335 crankshaft position.

I had P0335 and P0727 on my 11/99 528iT (m52TU and A5s360r). When you have your CKP ( crank shaft sensor) out, with the air channel and the microfilter housing removed and a strong flashlight, you can see down the hole in the block through which the CKP is mounted. Put a ratchet on the crank on the front of the motor.
